Almost SIX years! I’ve gotten everything from household items such as laundry soap to personal care items like deodorant and shampoo, clothes for me and my kids. I even got a free mattress – twice!! Many freebie sites such as GOFreebies give the runaround and claim they’ll send samples when in reality they DO NOT. Gofreebies does list some real samples, but it’s so hard to figure out how to actually get them and they mislead us into believing they have “warehouses full of free stuff to give away.” That is just not true. That’s not how freebie sites work. Real free sites may do giveaways (such as sweepstakes which have a limited number of prizes to random winners), but mostly they aggregate offers from real companies who are offering free samples or free things, or they may figure out ways to get free things in stores using specific coupons on items on sale so the item ends up being free. In short, most of the websites on this list are not actually very good!
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or to win. Participants are not required to opt in to Sheplers email marketing to enter. The giveaway is subject to applicable federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Sheplers also reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway at any time if it determines, in its sole discretion.

Imagine if you ran marketing department at your organization and were able to get 100,000 people to try a new product using a coupon for free sample. Not only did you reach a wide base of potential customers, but you avoided expensive traditional advertising costs such as billboards, newspapers, magazines, or even radio and TV commercials. Now imagine that 5% of those 100,000 individuals ultimately decide to buy the product outright. That is 5,000 sales for the Company! Now let's take it a step further, and put some dollars behind this example. Say the product that was originally being offered as a coupon for free stuff was actually priced at $10. You do the math. Those 5000 sales are going to result in $50,000 back to the seller! Better yet, if the product is of ample quality, those consumers will recommend the product to their friends family and so on,expanding the sales exponentially.

If you ever searched for free stuff online, you probably noticed that it doesn't take long to find yourself surfing in a sea of scam offers with no tangible goodies. You also probably stumbled across multiple survey sites linked to other survey sites, which then linked to EVEN MORE survey sites. This is a common theme when browsing sites offering free stuff by mail. Not only can this be extremely frustrating, it can also be dangerous. Many of these sites have been created to steal not only your money, but your personal information as well, which is then used for who knows what.
So how much time does she spend entering contests to win such amazing prizes? "I recommend spending one to two hours a day entering contests and sweepstakes," Wilman said. "That's enough to win plenty, but not so much you cut into work, family time and other obligations." In those couple of hours a day, Wilman estimates she submits about 36,000 entries a year and wins about 1 percent of them. "It truly is a numbers game," she said. "You can't win if you don't enter. And the more you enter, the more chances you have to win."

In the United States, sweepstake sponsors are very careful to disassociate themselves from any suggestion that players must pay to enter, or pay to win, as this would constitute gambling. Sweepstakes typically involve enticements to enter a consumer promotion with prizes that range from substantial wins such as cars or large sums of money to smaller prizes that are currently popular with consumers. There should be no monetary cost to the entrant (although some sweepstakes require entrants to subscribe to a promotional mailing list, potentially exposing the entrant to an increase in junk mail, spam email, or telemarketing calls) and sweepstakes winners should also not be required to pay any kind of fee to receive their prizes.[12]
The website owner has long since disappeared and left the website to sit in ruin, only keeping it barely functioning enough to collect member's hard earned money and even that is hit and miss. His girlfriend rarely makes an appearance as well, and is who the moderators send you to when there is a problem with your account not being credited, but due to her own lack of attentiveness it can take days to receive any form of response, if at all.

I created a new e-mail account to use with all the entry forms. I wanted to keep my working e-mail account free of junk, but I also wanted to determine how much spam the contests generated. I thought that would be enough to keep myself isolated from the contest solicitors, but almost every entry form mandated a phone number and street address. I used the general ABC street address and bought a prepaid phone to handle any incoming calls or texts.

Music is an area where savvy contest entrants can really shine. Following local venues, artists coming to town, or first-time festivals reaps the easiest rewards. Promoters are eager to fill up shows, and throwing a contest is an easy way to get buzz for the band or venue. Plus, a contest winner might be likely to get a few more friends to tag along or spend money at the venue on alcohol or promotional items, a win-win for everyone involved.
